Our team came out on top as 12th in Athletics and 42nd overall. #1242
As for medals per capita, we ranked 2nd in Gold medals and 4th in Total medals. A special thank you to Mr Steven Gardiner, being the first Bahamian man to win the 400m individual race, and Mrs Shaunae Miller-Uibo, being the first ever back to back 400m champion in Olympic history.
Despite being a small nation, records were broken, dreams were realized, and barriers once thought unattainable were smashed by The Bahamas’ team. Thank you to the entire team for reminding us that we possess the spirit and energy to persevere if only we look to the hills.
